I am concerned we are becoming numb to Americans dying. Like so many things in the era of Trump - horrible things happen, we scream, but they continue and get worse. 8,500 Americans are dead. Soon it will be 10,000. We can’t let this ever - even 1 unnecessary death - be okay.

Living in a nightmare.

Living in a nightmare.

Except your life. At what point does the media stop broadcasting this stuff live because Trump’s words pose a health risk to the American people?

TRUMP: "I hope they use the hydroxychloroquine ... I hope they use it because I'll tell you what, what do you have to lose?"

TRUMP: "I hope they use the hydroxychloroquine ... I hope they use it because I'll tell you what, what do you have to lose?"

You know what I can't get over? The single most potent force for misinforming the American public is the president of the United States. Neither the political system nor the media system was built for this.

The world has 1,200,000 coronavirus cases. The US accounts for 26% of those cases or 311,000 - a startling jump. Today alone the US has added more than 34,000 cases - enough to rank it in the top 10 in the world on one day’s adds.

In Week 177 Trump pivoted from denying the crisis and wanting to reopen, to suddenly acknowledging the gravity and claiming if 100k to 200k Americans die, he will have done a β€œvery good job” -a remarkable claim! So much happened this week-catch up on all! https://theweeklylist.org/weekly-list/week-177/

I am also quite certain that a lot of these calls Trump spends his time fielding in between tweeting and watching cable TV, are related to how he and his cronies can profit on all the death and despair.

White House reporters - please stop parroting Trump without context! You’re amplifying at times dangerous disinformation and lies without explanation. This makes the problem worse.

The fucking party of life. 8,500 Americans are dead. More than a thousand are dying each day and the number is only accelerating. You’re allowing an unhinged madman to slaughter the American people with your utter indifference!

It’s remarkable that a sitting president can spitefully and willfully watch Americans die in New York by sitting on equipment - while the Chinese government donates ventilators. And suffer no repercussions from his party leadership.

I know a lot of people give Trump the benefit that he is intellectually able to understand the concept of bending the curve, and why a national lockdown and mass testing would help - but I’m not convinced he does.

Trajectory of growth for coronavirus deaths has curved for Spain and Italy, but the US line is still straight up - we have had the most daily deaths in the world for 4 days and counting.

β€œBy the time Donald Trump proclaimed himself a wartime president β€” and the coronavirus the enemy β€” the United States was already on course to see more of its people die than in the wars of Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq combined.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2020/04/04/coronavirus-government-dysfunction/

I have news for  @Leader McConnell. I have news for  @Kevin McCarthy. 8,000 Americans are dead. You knew. You helped Trump hid it, while GOP lawmakers sold stock. If you think we will have more American deaths than World War 1 without accountability, think again!

The US has more than 300,000 reported coronavirus cases. More than 8,000 Americans are dead. Our mortality rate is up to 2.7%. This loss of American life was avoidable. Trump hid it for months, then lied and blamed. Tiny hands covered in blood.

Gov Kate Brown exemplifies what it is to be a great American. Donald J Trump will be remembered as a self-serving, incompetent sociopath, with American blood on his tiny hands.
