Yes, he most certainly did "obtain and publish records of the Republican ranking member." He got them in the meta-data from Parnas and Giuliani. And he published them!! And he has more - much more, including meta-data of journalists. Truly unprecedented.

If the cheapening of impeachment weren’t so destructive, this would be comical. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/columnists/on-trump-impeachment-democrats-pivot-back-to-r...

That’s an interesting comment in the wake of our gavel to gavel coverage of the Democrat-led House impeachment hearings.

@Brit Hume Brit and others at Fox News are well aware of these constraints...Fox News only rewards those who go hard at dems

Guy goes out of his way to publicly humiliate his wife. Attacks Elise Stefanik on twitter as 'lying trash.' Does same with Nikki Haley. Now decides to attack FLOTUS for tweet defending her son. Got it.

This would be regrettable but understandable if Bloomberg had shut off investigative reporting for all candidates of both parties. But shielding the Dems and continuing to pursue Trump is indefensible.

Asked about criticism over Bloomberg News not being able to investigate Democrats, @MikeBloomberg says employees "just have to learn to live with some things."

"They get a paycheck. But with your paycheck comes some restrictions and responsibilities."

In which ⁦ @Jonathan Turley⁩ tries to correct gross misrepresentations of his views and testimony by Democrats and their media allies. https://thehill.com/opinion/judiciary/473171-turley-democrats-offering-passion-over-proof-in-trump-i...

Another viral-but-misleading tweet from AOC. The work requirement rule doesn't affect parents, which she would have known had she read the story: "The USDA rule change affects people between the ages of 18 and 49 who are childless and not disabled."

Who knew a year ago that health care would prove a toxic issue to candidates on the left? https://freebeacon.com/columns/medicare-for-all-progressive-campaign-killer/

From  @Kimberley Strassel: The abuse of power most media are ignoring. https://www.wsj.com/articles/adam-schiff-is-watching-11575591692

I heard their testimony. So no.

The Census Bureau found real median family income up 1.2% from 2017 to 2018, real median earnings up 3.4%, full-time, year-round workers increased by 2.3 million, and the poverty rate declined from 12.3% to 11.8%, with 1.4 million people leaving poverty. https://www.nationalreview.com/the-morning-jolt/the-world-is-getting-better-its-just-that-no-one-tel...

“Impeachment...doesn’t work — the threshold for launching impeachment proceedings is low enough that it can be done frivolously, for merely partisan purposes. But the threshold for removing a president from office is so high that it has never been met.” https://spectator.us/impeachment-implausible-restraint-executive-power/

Because, you see, journalists are not simply to report the news without fear or favor. Their mission instead is to convince the public that the president should be impeached and removed. Good lord.

If Pete doesn’t yield and apologize for, umm, helping poor people, this could be a good moment for him — standing out and apart from leftist intolerance.

From  @Daniel Henninger “The truth is that the Democratic left and the media—the resis-tance—are what unified the Republican Party. They normalized Trumpian chaos with two years of the Russian collusion narrative and Robert Mueller.” https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-democrats-fractured-fairy-tales-11575505257

Once Gerhardt argued that Trump’s conduct was “worse than the misconduct of any prior president,” we no longer had any intellectual obligation to take him seriously on the topic. https://www.nationalreview.com/2019/12/trump-impeachment-hearings-presidential-misconduct-historical...

It will be interesting to see which other media, if any, have anything to say about what Schiff did here, especially after all the MSM hand-wringing about Bush’s national security surveillance. https://www.wsj.com/articles/schiffs-surveillance-state-11575506091

The left during high school history classes: The founding fathers are merely old, white, male, irrelevant, slave holders The left during the  #ImpeachmentInquiry: The founding fathers were super smart and awesome and would have wanted us to impeach Trump

Everything is on tape — the GOP sending this out from the Clinton impeachment hearings.

Jerry Nadler in 1998:

“There must never be a narrowly-voted impeachment or an impeachment substantially supported by one of our major political parties and largely opposed by the other... Such an impeachment would lack legitimacy."

Excellent work slaying that straw man. Now what about the actual conspiracy theory pushed by Democrats and the media that Mifsud was a Russian agent colluding with the Trump campaign? Any evidence to support THAT?

NEW: A source familiar with the draft of the IG's report has confirmed to  @Pete Williams that John Durham has found nothing to indicate that Joseph Mifsud was a U.S. intelligence plant used to kickoff the Trump 2016 campaign investigation. First reported by  @The Washington Post

That’s because the investigation that led to it was done by Independent Counsel Starr, which took several years. In this case, there was no such investigation so the inquiry started with the Pelosi announcement less than 11 weeks ago. The comparison made below is apples & oranges

By releasing the phone records of GOP members,  @Donald J. Trump lawyers and journalists he doesn’t like,  @Adam Schiff is doing exactly what he’s accusing the President of - using his power against his opponents for political purposes.

From  @Holman Jenkins: “U.S. emissions are just 14% of the total and shrinking. India and China, not the U.S., will determine the fate of climate change.” https://www.wsj.com/articles/requiem-for-a-climate-dream-11575417278

No he isn’t and the points made here demolish the argument that he is. https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/no-trump-isnt-threatening-our-constitutional-system/

As a public figure Nunes has an extremely high burden of proof to win his suit. But this looks like some seriously faulty reporting by the network. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/nunes-sues-cnn-over-demonstrably-false-ukraine-report

From ⁦ @Andy McCarthy:“Trump’s offense vis-à-vis Ukraine had to be exaggerated out of all proportion because Schiff...fully understood that the offense, to the extent there was one, simply is not serious enough to impeach over.” https://www.nationalreview.com/2019/12/impeachment-power-can-be-abused/
