"A people that no longer can believe anything cannot make up its mind. It is deprived not only of its capacity to act but also of its capacity to think and to judge. And with such a people you can then do what you please."

If you're condemning Dr. Fauci while defending Roger Stone, I can guarantee that in 10 years you'll deny you did either.

Last year, I questioned President Trump's then-head of  @OCC, Joseph Otting, who said he had “personally never observed” discrimination but was told it exists by “friends from the inner city.” That same agency failed to investigate banks’ racist practices.

When asked last year if he believes discrimination exists, Comptroller Otting said he had “personally never observed it,” but he was told it exists by his "friends from the inner city." At a hearing today, I asked him if he'd like to elaborate on his use of a racist dog whistle.

Teach F2F, risk possibly significant illness for you and family Teach online, contribute to circumstances where a 3rd party (the federal govt) harms innocent bystanders We’re living a Bernard Williams thought experiment. Finally, we’ll find out who the consequentialists are....

Dr. Fauci with Mother Teresa and Donald Trump with one of HIS friends. 2

Dr. Fauci with Mother Teresa and Donald Trump with one of HIS friends.

The last three Republican presidents on Fauci: George H.W. Bush: Calls him a hero at a 1988 presidential debate. George W. Bush: Awards the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Fauci. Trump: Irritated at the good press Fauci gets. Pitches oppo to reporters on Fauci.

Breaking: A judge has freed Mary Trump from a gag order, allowing the president's niece to speak freely about her family and promote her book. https://www.thedailybeast.com/mary-trump-free-to-dish-on-her-family-and-tell-all-book-judge-rules

The number of cases make him look bad (narcissistic injury) so he must nonsensically attribute it to the “best” testing. He’s emotionally incapable of caring about people or relating the viral “cases” to actual people dying. His only concern is his image, and how he’s viewed.

Trump: As an example, we’ve done 45 million tests. If we did half that number, you’d have half the cases, probably around that number. If we did another half of that, you’d have half the numbers. Everyone would be saying we’re doing well on cases

@Spero Aeternam  @Chuck Cardoza  @Acyn Torabi While private schools will not be *forced* to open, you're forgetting — [a] evangelical Xtian schools will align w/Trump in denial [b] well-off Trumpists send their kids to private schools and will demand opening [c] reduced-to-nonexistent power of unions in private schools

@Acyn Torabi How's this for numbers Betsy DeVos says that "only" 0.02% of children will probably die as a result of schools re-opening. That's 14,740 children. That's about 40 times the number of school shooting victims from the last 10 years.

A strong, coordinated federal response earlier this year could've prevented massive labor market disruptions. Instead, the Trump Administration squandered that window of opportunity. https://www.wsj.com/articles/fed-treasury-disagreements-slowed-start-of-main-street-lending-program-...

.@edyong209: “A country that, 7 months into a pandemic, still cannot ensure that its healthcare workers have enough gowns and gloves and protective equipment is not going to be able to distribute a vaccine in an efficient way. It simply isn’t.”

Parents shouldn't have to pick between their child getting an education or being safe, but that's what millions of families are being forced to do. What an unbelievably horrific failure from this entire Administration.

It’s been almost three weeks since the story broke about Putin putting bounties on American soldier’s heads, and not a single Republican has spoken out against it. Never forget.

Just a casual reminder that the richest 1% of Americans is responsible for 70% of all unpaid taxes.
