@Dan Andrews We all stand with Dan. Thanks and get some rest over the weekend. Your deserve it.

A journalist asked me a question yesterday – and I answered it. She then called my office to say sorry. I consider that the end of the matter. Abusing journalists – or anyone – on Twitter does no one any good. We have far more important things to deal with, let’s all move on.

Let’s go for walkies 🐾

While helping @VicGovDHHS with stage 4 lockdown at the nine Melbourne towers, a resident asked one of our officers for a favour.

It was to walk their dog given they couldn’t leave the building. Off we go...

Exclusive: Key impeachment witness Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman is retiring from the US Army. His lawyer cites a “campaign of bullying, intimidation and retaliation” led by the President. https://cnn.it/2O9688M

Donald Trump’s pattern of retaliation against anyone who attempts to hold him accountable is the stuff of dictatorships—not democracies.

Just pre-ordering my copy of Women and Leadership by two incredibly inspirational women leaders @JuliaGillard 🇦🇺 first female Prime Minister & @NOIweala 🇳🇬 2-time Minister of Finance. Great to see this 🇦🇺🇳🇬 partnership in such an important area. Looking forward to reading 📖

The US Supreme Court has just told American women that their access to birth control will depend on their employer's opinions! So all that 'my body, my choice' shit just applies to masks. As far as people with wombs are concerned its actually 'my body, my employer's choice'.

Please do the right thing. For yourself. For your family. For every single Victorian.

This isn't about rules and finding creative ways to get around them. It's about every single one of us understanding how important this is – and doing everything in our collective power to get it right.

I know people will be feeling a lot of different emotions tonight. No one wants to be in this situation. But in the absence of a vaccine, the only way to defeat this virus is to deprive it of what it needs to spread.

As we head back into lockdown again, a reminder that this virus does not only affect the old but the young too. It has hit close to home with one of our valued partners  @Youth Activating Youth Executive Director,  @Ahmed Hassan, being struck down with COVID-19. 👇🏾👇🏾

Whilst there’s still a lot of restrictions due to #COVID19 and need for #SocialDistancing it’s still important both for the mind and health to stay #HealthyAtHome - finding new ways of staying fit whilst the gyms are closed 🏋️🧘‍♀️🏊‍♀️

Tough days in Victoria. A really difficult time ahead. But we’ve been through this before and we know we can do it. We know what works. Let’s stick together and help each other through. Thanks for all you’re doing.  #StayHomeStaySafe

White panelists are invited on media platforms to debate policies, we shouldn’t be invited to defend our humanity. Absolutely, racism is not an intellectual point of view that merits a debate.

BREAKING -  @Dan Andrews officially confirms border closure following talks with  @Scott Morrison and  @Gladys Berejiklian

I have long said no to going on  @Sunrise to promote anything because they continue to invite Hanson on regularly.  @The Today Show has been added to the list.

Now more than ever, we need a president who will choose science over fiction.

Let’s remember: blaming public housing residents for lockdown is not kind nor useful. Residents living in overcrowded, poor conditions, impossible to socially distance. It’s not new but COVID lays it bare. We need more&better public housing. Shouldn’t take pandemic to tell us that

Following today’s announcement from the Premier of additional restrictions for people living in the 3031 and 3051 postcodes, I’m asking everyone to please comply with these restrictions and follow the most up-to-date health advice.

All of us have a responsibility to slow the spread of the virus. The health response has to come first and we need to prioritise keeping our community safe. Please keep supporting our local businesses in ways that are safe to do so.

This is an unbelievably tough time for so many in our community but we will get through this by continuing to look after each other. Melbourne is a caring city and we must remain so throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are five months into this crisis, and our health care workers still don't have the masks and protective equipment they need. It's a national disgrace. Mr. President, use your authority and fix the shortage of PPE before you tee off for yet another round of golf.
