I put my favorite politicians on pedestals instead of holding them accountable or demanding better. I accuse everyone I disagree with of being a Russian bot. I am unaware of the fact that I’m not progressive at all. I prefer platitudes over policies. I watch MSNBC. Who am I?

If only there were some sort of disasters to compare it to. Like maybe a powerful hurricane or a terrorist attack.

Perhaps the Democrats would win more elections if they stopped nominating candidates whose primary selling points are that they aren’t as bad as the candidates they’re running against.

It’s a week from June 1st, 100k dead, and we still don’t have rent relief. Remember the people who could have cancelled rent and protected your family, but instead sat on their hands. Remember them at the ballot box. AND THEN REPLACE THEM ALL.

Bernie is on the ballot - vote for him untill you can’t -

Has anyone been able to make it through the Bernie blackout Vice docu? It just makes me visibly shake in anger and hurt. I just can't finish it.

We need an elected leader who is here for our communities — and understands the struggles we are actually facing. In my view, that leader is  @Jamaal Bowman. Our member Melanie Flaxer in the  @Scarsdale Inquirer. https://bit.ly/2TBlAxj  #JewsforJamaal

Corporate Democrats are as guilty as Republicans in plunging the United States into a full on PLUTOCRACY where the endless greed of the 1% comes before the dignity of the 99% and the sustainability of our planet. If you want things to change then you have to support PROGRESSIVES.

I talk about Malcolm X a lot, but it’s his bday week & dude was really a prophet. People frame him as the revolutionary foil to King, but they were both revolutionaries. What’s interesting is HOW they came to differ on the end goal, & geography is rarely discussed (THREAD)

@TheDemocrats This was YOUR strategy. YOUR choice. Time to stop deflecting the failures of your candidates and the choices of the corporate bought power brokers of your party. This is on you. Time to hit the phones and stop making excuses

Just so everyone is clear raising taxes on the wealthy & a wealth tax are two separate things and we desperately need both because 621 billionaires just increased their wealth by $434 billion during the pandemic. It’s a level of greed that’s beyond evil & it’s destroying America.

I will never associate myself with a Party that was willing to accept Michael Bloomberg and wound up with a piece of garbage like Joe Biden as a nominee. Save your "What about Trump?" You people are worse than Trumpers, because you have the nerve to pretend to have morals.

Here’s Charlemagne on Erin Burnett’s show with the Bulworth mention — the whole movie is worth watching again. Made 22 years ago in 1998 and NOTHING HAS CHANGED.

Charlemagne said Joe Biden’s ‘you ain’t black’ comment was a “real Bulworth moment.” It’s worth revisiting both.

Here’s the Bulworth moment that I think he’s talking about:

If you want people to vote for Biden who aren't currently on board, try *making an affirmative case* for how his admin would be better, instead of just using lesser-evil voting to morally preen, scaremonger, and left-punch. (free advice)

FYI — it wasn’t good that we refused to postpone elections and instead saw self-interested politicians and political operatives encourage voters to run out into a deadly pandemic. The people who did that still haven’t apologized. https://sirota.substack.com/p/news-study-shows-wisconsin-election

Nobody actually believes that snake emojis directed at a candidate from random people are worse than racist, dismissive comments directed at regular people from a candidate. Democrats who professed outrage at the former but are defending the latter are not honest commentators.

The Dem Party holds Black people in an abusive relationship but says you can't leave because the other option is more abusive

Rich people pretend to be self-made, but inheritance played a huge role for many. https://www.jacobinmag.com/2017/10/inheritance-wealthy-one-percent

If Bernie Sanders told a black morning show host, "If you don't vote for me, you ain't black"... would that be considered a "minor gaffe"?

MASSIVE WIN! Thank you  @Shaun King,  @Grassroots Law Project &  @The Action PAC for all you are doing to help rally the people to  #RiseInLove 🙌🏼  #NotMeUs

BREAKING: All charges have just been dropped against Kenneth Walker - the boyfriend of Breonna Taylor.

Kenneth is/was a hero. The love of his life was murdered right in front of his eyes. He has suffered so much over these past 2 months.

He is free. Charges dismissed.

Isn't it wild that there is greater pressure for Black people to vote for Joe Biden than pressure for Joe Biden to be less racist?

Even in the face of a deadly  #coronavirus where lives and livelihoods are being lost he still does not support  #MedicareForAll. God help us!

"I'm going to be Joe Biden,"  @Joe Biden says when asked if he's prepared to govern as a progressive. "I do not support Medicare-for-All. I will not support Medicare-for-all ,but I do support, making sure that Obamacare is around with a public option," he continues on  @CNBC

It should be possible to acknowledge that  @Joe Biden would be infinitely better for African-Americans than an actual white nationalist in the White House — while making clear that the Thanksgiving-uncle racial reflexes of an elder like Biden need to be worked on and altered.
