@Farran Nehme  @Alan K. Rode (pronounced ROE-DEE) I have indeed. Curtiz is one of my favorite directors. I learned more about blocking a scene from him than anyone else. I used to turn down the sound and study the “mise-en-scene,” as they say, of many of his films.

One of my favorite Fluffy Forties Musicals.

OK I found something that explains it pretty clearly. But Ms. Windsor continues to be erroneously identified as Karyn. https://www.mail-archive.com/wbmutbb@wbmutbb.com/msg24800.html

Watching an old Andy Griffith in which the girl getting married in this pic is identified on imdb as Karyn Kupcinet who was murdered in 1963. That's not Karyn. Doesn't even look like her. That is actress Tammy Windsor who is still living.

First watched this on  @Farran Nehme's recommendation. It's now one of my favourite Westerns.

In one of his last and finest performances, Gary Cooper plays a reformed outlaw drawn back into his criminal past. One of a string of 1950s western masterpieces directed by the great Anthony Mann, MAN OF THE WEST (1958) stands as one of the filmmaker’s most monumental works.

Of course he threatened to dump the fish into the sea. Of course he did.

Remembering Gail Patrick, who died of leukemia on today's date in 1980 at the age of 69. I loved to hate her in movies like Stage Door, My Man Godfrey and My Favorite Wife. She later became one of TVs first female producers, and was the executive producer for Perry Mason. 2

Stitching continues to soothe in these strange times and I was struck today with this #1920s embroidered frock. It was a decade that saw a boom in customisation with magazines like #Buttericks offering #embroidery patterns to embellish garments @FIDMMuseum #fashionhistory

@LaurasMiscMovie @KinoLorber Learned some fun trivia online after
watching Alfred Hitchcock Presents: Baby-Blue Expression. Never knew Herbert Marshall & Edna Best were married. They had a daughter Sarah, who was also an actress. She was the star of the episode I watched. Another Hitchcock Blonde.

Almost surreal walking down this stretch of Smith Street, where several bars and restaurants have awesome setups and folks safely enjoying eating and drinking. Give me one good reason why cars should be driving down the middle of this?

He made music a character in every movie, but none more so than in Cinema Paradiso.
